Hi, I’m Sujith Surendran 👋

Welcome to vGyan.in — a space where I share practical knowledge, real-world experiences, and deep dives into VMware, Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDC), Hybrid Cloud, and Enterprise Infrastructure.

I’m a Senior Technical Consultant based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with 14+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and modernizing enterprise and government IT infrastructure. Currently, I work with Mideast Data Systems, where I lead and deliver SDDC, VMware, Hybrid Cloud, Backup, and Disaster Recovery solutions for large enterprises and UAE government entities.

What I Do

My core expertise lies in VMware-first data center architectures, including:

  • VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSphere, NSX, vSAN, SRM, and Horizon

  • Enterprise Backup & DR using Veeam and Commvault

  • Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (Dell VxRail, Nutanix, HPE)

Alongside this, I work extensively with Microsoft Azure in a hybrid cloud context, supporting:

  • Azure Migrate discovery and assessments

  • On-premises to Azure and tenant-to-tenant migrations

  • Azure Landing Zone architecture aligned with UAE government compliance

  • Infrastructure automation using Terraform

  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments

My work often involves mission-critical environments, where availability, security, compliance, and data sovereignty are non-negotiable.

I’m a VMware vExpert and an active VMUG Leader, passionate about community learning and technical knowledge sharing. Through vGyan.in, I publish:
